My name is Letícia Neves and I’m an undergraduate student in Journalism at the Catholic Pontific University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I’ve created this blog because the Environment is my passion, and that’s what this blog will focus on.

I am not trying to create a hard news blog, but one dealing specifically with environmental issues and events. I’ll be posting mostly about the connections that exist between humans, nature and the environment, since I feel not everybody realizes that there’s more to the environment than just animals and trees.
In order to achieve this, I’ll mix theory with practice along with real life examples to give a more rounded explanation about current studies, news, and conclusions in the field. My goal with this blog is to give anyone with an interest in environmental studies a greater understanding about the field as a whole.
That being said, my posts can be rather large and the articles also
lengthy. I strive to show the connections between events taking place and how they affect other aspects of the environment. The environment is a complex web, but a fascinating one, and I strongly believe it deserves more attention than the general media grants it.
In a world where a celebrity’s divorce takes a prime-time slot over problems that affect the entire planet, I believe it’s imperative that more and more people have access to more and more knowledge.
It’s the little details that can make the hugest of differences, and I want to share the details with everyone who wants to know about them.
I’ve imbedded a video that I find truly inspiring and one that I truly love. I hope you’ll like it too.

YMMD with that asnwer! TX
